The Portset Systems VCR Controller VC1, provides a means of independently controlling 2 VCR’s of the same model to provide continuous play. VC1 monitors the video output from both VCR machines and uses this information to control both VCR's. VC1 will instruct the VCR's to play, rewind and cue video tapes and subsequently output continuous video to a display monitor. To provide for various types of VCR machines VC1 has the ability to be taught the IR commands for the VCR machines.
The
VCR Controller provides a cost effective route to continuous video playing
and has numerous applications where unattended operation is required. It
is ideal for shops, supermarkets, hotels and clubs, or as a continuous
advertising and promotion system.
The VC1 removes the need for expensive professional VCR's to provide these facilities, thus making a low cost solution with consumer VCR machines.
During active monitoring of the VCR's output, detection is conducted on black level or no video, such as noise and video without syncs, thus providing automatic rewind, playing and cueing to start of video.
